MythTv Player
MythTv Player is a simple media player for Windows, that allows you to browse and play recordings directly from a MythTv backend. (MythTv is a free and powerful Personal Video Recorder (PVR) for linux.)
The player is designed to work out-of-the-box and includes all needed video and audio codecs.
Currently, it is possible to browse and watch existing recordings. LiveTv is available in the in the testing version (more info in this forum) Scheduling is not possible (Yet?).

Dear all,
We are delighted to announce that the MythTv Player team has increased.
So there we are - a bunch of fellow MythTv addicts getting ready to code, test and build. So far, we have worked on some minor features, bugfixing and compability with the latest upcoming MythTv 0.22 release - stay tuned for the upcoming new stable release.
For the moment please support our idea of localization, if you are able to translate MythTv Player in your language. We are looking for localizations for all world languages...

Version 0.5.0 is the first test release that includes livetv. It still needs a lot of polishing - so go get it and provide some feedback.

Version 0.4.1 fixes a few important issues that exist in all previous versions. This could prevent the backend from shutting down and recordings to be kept on the disk, even though they had been deleted. (Both issues were cured by restarting the backend, so do not worry!)

I just uploaded 0.4.0 as the latest stable version. It fixes a few minor bugs since version 0.3.6, but is mostly released to become the latest stable version.
